Youth Forums

AEN’s new youth forum series, called Green Path, is designed to bring together the bright young minds of Armenia with academics, experts and activists in order to  dissect  and discuss the country’s major environmental and social issues.

Our first forum was held in late March 2012 and was on the topic of Mashtots Park. Activists rallied in this park for months protesting against the illegal construction boutiques in the city green space. Hrayr Savzyan, prominent activist and head of Ecoera NGO was our speaker at the forum.

Our last forum was held on April 26, 2012 and was dedicated to the issue of waste. Our guest speaker was Ms Lia Asatryan from Green Lane NGO, a partner organization of AEN. The production of waste, its contents, and what can be done with it were all discussed.

Check back soon for information on our next forum!

Who can participate: all students from ages 15-22 are welcome to come join us. Its free! All you have to do to do is send us an e-mail at info.armenia@armenia-environment.org. We hope to see you there!
